Social Distance Products for Businesses

Keep your facility safe and protected by practicing proper social distancing during COVID-19

In response to the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends businesses in all industries enforce social distancing to help prevent the spread of the disease. As Seton is dedicated to helping businesses continue to operate during this time, we have expanded our product selection to include an extensive array of signs, labels, and floor markers that help enforce these new regulations by clearly illustrating expected social distancing practices.

From highly visible signs reminding customers to remain at a safe distance to vibrantly colored floor markers designating where to stand in line, the below categories showcase a number of safety solutions that can help keep your business as safe and prepared as possible during such an ambiguous time.

For more information on social distance guidelines and how our products can benefit your facility, view our complete guide to social distancing for essential businesses.

What is social distance?
By definition, social distancing is the act of deliberately increasing the physical space between yourself and others to avoid spreading illness. Specifically in the case of the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, social distancing is required to help slow the rate of infection and reduce the amount of unnecessary cases, so as not to overwhelm our hospitals and healthcare system.

What are the CDC Guidelines for Social Distancing During COVID-19?
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), individuals should adhere to the following when practicing and maintaining safe social distance in schools, workplaces, and other community locations:

-Stay at home, only go out if it is essential
-Limit close contact with others as much as possible
-Keep away from others who are sick or feel sick
-Avoid public gatherings and groups of more than 10 people
-Maintain a minimum of 3-6 feet between yourself and others at all times
-Avoid physical greetings such as handshakes, hugs, and kisses
-Practice good hygiene and wash hands frequently

How can I enforce social distancing within my business?
With this new need for businesses to enforce social distancing within daily routines and procedures, it is important that employers, business owners, and employees alike have a clear understanding of what the company is doing to help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. Below are just a few recommendations on how businesses within different industries can effectively and responsibly promote social distancing during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak:

In offices or other administrative facilities, remind employees to practice good hygiene with signage, infographic posters and/or floor markers and mats that promote health-conscious habits at work.

If your business involves meeting one-on-one with clients or hosting clients/visitors at your facility, social etiquette that was previously expected may not be appropriate now. Remind everyone to maintain an appropriate distance in professional settings with please don’t shake hands signs, signs that convey proper elevator etiquette, and more.

For retail businesses, grocery stores, and even restaurants offering takeout and curbside pickup during COVID-19, social distancing floor markers are an efficient way to visually indicate where customers should be waiting in line. This not only protects your customers, but also helps keep cashiers, cooks, and all other employees safer while at work. Many of our stock floor markers also come with messages printed in multiple languages in an attempt to keep the workplace safe and accessible to all.

In healthcare facilities, labeling triage areas or quarantine areas can be crucial to keeping important locations off-limits to patients and visitors. Signage that helps promote good hygiene is just as important here, too.

Finally, municipalities should consider creating custom safety signs to notate that certain public areas like playgrounds are closed due to the outbreak. This adds a personal touch and eliminates the potential for any confusion that may occur.
